John Aage Andersen
A proud member of #teamAtea since 2011, John brings discipline and precision to everything he does — shaped by years in the Danish Navy before moving into IT. Today he keeps our systems running smoothly through ServiceNow service management and continuous improvement initiatives.
But ask anyone, and they’ll tell you John’s real superpower is energy. He moderates our internal sports community, leads by example, and has been hooked on trail running ever since his first Stirnu Buks trail race back in 2018.
Ilze Mežniece
While on maternity leave with her third child, Ilze joined the Riga TechGirls “Discover Tech” programme and decided to pursue a career in IT, despite having no previous experience in the field. The leap paid off. What began as a Service Desk role grew into a leadership journey at Atea Global Services.
Today, Ilze leads a team while continuing to embrace new challenges and opportunities. Her advice to anyone considering a career change is simple: opportunities are often waiting on the other side of fear. Growth comes from trying, learning, and having the courage to say yes to something new.
Emīls Bogdanovičs
Emīls began his Atea journey in Service Desk while finishing his bachelor’s degree in IT. Eager to deepen his technical experience, he reached out beyond his department and created an opportunity to join the Integrations Runtime team, which is responsible for keeping the “lights on” by ensuring integrations continue to run.
The role combines technical problem-solving with the freedom to take ownership. Together with his teammates, Emīls helps shape how they work, respond to challenges, and achieve their objectives. For Emīls, it is this combination of technology, autonomy, and continuous learning that makes the work rewarding.
