We're looking for a Backup Specialist to monitor and support enterprise backup infrastructure, troubleshoot backup issues, perform data restores, configure backup solutions across multiple platforms, and ensure reliable backup operations. You'll work closely with customers and internal teams, provide technical guidance, and help maintain and improve backup services using Veeam and IBM Spectrum Protect.
Your responsibilities:
- Initially on Veeam for Office365 solution.
- Daily missed/failed backup checks.
- Backup infrastructure support.
- Troubleshoot missed/failed backups.
- Consult other departments or clients backups wise.
- Perform Restore tasks accordingly to customer demands.
- Setup new Backup clients on various platforms and applications (Windows, Linux, HP-UX, Oracle, MSSQL, MS Exchange, Lotus Domino/Notes).
- Perform re-configuration of Backup clients regarding customer needs if needed.
- Plan and perform recovery tests in cooperation with customer if needed.
- Consulting clients for proper actions if issues experienced.
- Reporting to managing team leader.
- Communication with Danish and Latvian team members, managers and customers.
- Other tasks set by direct manager.
What makes you a great fit:
At least 2 years in IT or at least 1 year as Backup backup specialist in similar position.
Microsoft technologies knowledge. Understanding of basic DB principles. Networking basics.
Understanding of storage & SAN.
Understanding of backup technology as such.
- Goal oriented, accurate, responsible and with good troubleshooting and communication skills, fast learner as position might develop in case of good progress.
Preferred:
Passed IT engineer related certification.

Gross salary range:
1300 – 2000 EUR
