We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our Digital Identity Management team. This role focuses on building Atea’s Identity Management platform that supports all customer-facing portals and more solutions across Atea. At this level you will design and build secure, scalable and reliable backend services to support and improve the existing platform. Your impact will extend across the whole team as you propose improvements in current processes, raise technical quality, mentor others, and ensure that our technical choices support our long-term product and business goals.
Your responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, and secure backend services and APIs.
- Take ownership of backend architecture, code quality, performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Design and implement robust authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms as part of the wider system architecture.
- Ensure software quality through testing, clean code, secure development practices, and CI/CD processes.
- Work on the development and maintenance of an identity provider, supporting secure authentication and access management across services.
- Mentor developers and help raise technical standards across the team.
- Identify technical and security risks early and reduce them through pragmatic design and incremental improvements.
- Continuously think about improvements in current processes and software.
What makes you a great fit:
- Extensive backend software development experience with C# and .NET.
- Strong system design and architecture skills, with an ability to design for scalability, reliability, and security from the ground up.
- Experience with relational databases and designing for data integrity and protection.
- Experience with cloud technologies and CI/CD, ideally in Azure-based environments.
- Experience working with Kubernetes for deploying, scaling, and operating containerized services.
- A pragmatic, security-conscious approach to software quality and maintainability.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Gross salary range:
4000 – 4800 EUR
