Coming together at Atea
Work is where adult life turns into community, where you find your people. See how we come together for celebrations, parties, causes, sports, and more.
With a hybrid working model in place, we know how important it is to create meaningful moments to come together. Alongside everyday collaboration, the company actively supports educational, thematic, and celebratory get‑togethers, as well as initiatives driven by employee interests. If connecting with like‑minded colleagues matters to you, here’s a glimpse into the communities we’ve built and the events we celebrate together.
Celebrating seasons and milestones
Throughout the year, we create small moments that add energy to everyday work life. Seasonal celebrations pop up around the office during Christmas, Valentine’s Day, national holidays, Līgo, and Halloween. Some include shared activities for those who want to join in, while others simply add a festive feel to the office for everyone to enjoy.
We also make time to come together as one larger team. Each year, we host a company‑wide event to celebrate important milestones such as major office moves or anniversaries of our operations in Riga.

Community‑driven get‑togethers
We’re especially proud of the communities formed around shared interests. Several of them meet regularly, including book, film, and trading card game clubs, as well as employee‑organized quiz nights. The longest‑standing of them all is our sports community.
The company supports employee participation in popular sporting events such as Stirnu Buks, the Riga Marathon, and the Riga Bicycle Marathon, but it’s the community that organizes itself and that makes taking part in these events so motivating and fun.

Educational and thematic events
As a well-known brand, we collaborate with a variety of external partners to amplify our message and extend our reach. For us, however, it is equally important that these meaningful partnerships are experienced and appreciated by our own people. That’s why we bring the same energy and curiosity behind these collaborations into the company itself. So far, this has included initiatives such as CTF competitions and a group-wide Excel Championship.
Beyond external partnerships, we also support a wide range of educational and community-driven initiatives. From robot battles that spark interest in automation to internal hackathons and guest lectures on topics such as AI, sustainability, and change management, these activities are designed to make learning, innovation, and curiosity accessible to everyone, regardless of role or seniority.
